On this page, we will to list different locations in the area that what we call Healing Sites. We will give directions and tell you a brief description of the area.  Most of these sites are supercharged with postive healing energy, therefore, even if you are at your worst you do not need to do much in order to feel better.  Please remember to take out what you bring in and treat the areas with love and respect.

The easiest place to get some free healing done is your own backyard or neighbourhood park.  Simply sit on the grass/dirt/sand and be MINDFUL of what is going on.  Listen to the birds, wind, bugs, trees.  Feel your breath and focus on inhaling and exhaling.  Visualize any pain - mental, emotional, spiritual, or physical going right down into Mother Earth.  Mother Earth absorbs "hoocha" (Peruvian Quetcha word for negative energy) and recycles it into positive energy.  You will feel better in to no time.   There is a reason why people love going camping or being in nature......simply put NATURE HEALS!

Westsyde Vortex

There is a vortex located on a westsyde road on a small mountain/hillside.  A vortex is also called a power spot, so even you go near this site, your mood improves and you gain increased energy.  Imagine what can happen if you meditate here!

Take Westsyde road, until just past Coopers. Turn left on Ida Lane. Take Ida lane all the way to the top where there is new housing development.  Follow this road right until the end where you will see a hiking trail. You can turn your car right here, and park.  Be warned this is private property.  The vortex is actually the small mountain on the north side of the new housing development.  It looks like a huge rock and has twisted trees on and around it. 

Crystal Bowl/Haven/Mine

This site has several different names in the spiritual/new age community in Kamloops.  It is an old quartz quarry, but it is truly an amazing spot.  It feels like you are in heaven when you are there.  You will notice your bad mood, physical pains, worries immediately go away when you are here.  When here, you should sit directly on the ground and feel the healing energy.

Directions:

Take Hwy 1 East to Pritchard. 

Turn Left at the Pritchard store, to go across the Pritchard bridge.

Once across the bridge, turn right (therefore going east again)

Follow this road approximately 2 km until the road ends and you are forced to turn left or right.  Turn RIGHT - this is the old road towards Chase.

Take this road (dirt/gravel road) for approximately 10 km.  You will see a "Y" in the road. 

You will see McGilvery Lake Road on the  left.  Take this road.  The road gets a bit rougher here.

1.5 km up there is a sign for McGilvery Lake Forest Service Road.  Be cautious, as this is an ACTIVE logging road that requires you to have a 2way radio.  In the summer months, it is fine to go on as it is open as the back road to Sun Peaks.

Take McGilvery Lake Forest Road for approximately 12 km.  Due to the rough condition of the road, it takes approximatel 20 minutes to get there.  My small car does just fine so you do not need a truck.

 You will go across a cattle guard.  Shortly after this, you will come across another "Y" in the road. 

This will be Eilleen Lake Forest Service Road.  Turn left onto this road. 

 Perhaps .5 km up the road you will see an road that almost looks like a driveway on the right. There is a LARGE quartz boulder and an old gate.  This is the old entrance to the quarry, and you can enter here if you wish.

 If you go just a little further up Eileen Lake road, you will come across a small dirt road that kind of goes into the ditch and up a hill. If you get to the bridge, you have gone too far. This is the road I reccommend, and I take my car up there, and have seen several others do so successfully.  The road will lead you directly through a little field, and right into the quarry.  Perfect for people with disabilities.

You will know you are there because all you see is white, glistening rocks.  The land literally sparkles and you can easily find clear crystals just walking about the area.
